Billund Airport increases – also in April

April figures show progress in all important areas.

The total number of passengers has gone up by 18.4 %.

The number of passengers on the international scheduled services has increased by as much as 30.9 %. It is clear that Maersk Air’s new concept of low fares and greater flexibility has meant more passengers on the main routes, but the company’s new connections to Milan and Kristiansand have also had a positive impact on the figures. In addition to this British Airways’/SUN-AIR’s new service to Düsseldorf has also contributed to the progress.

Domestic traffic has gone up by 16 %.
Charter shows a progress of 3.7 %, and the positive development in the charter market is expected to work through even stronger over the coming months.
Once again air freight shows a remarkable result with an increase of 31 %.
