Where do passengers arrive?

All passengers arriving at Billund Airport come out of the door in the welcome area. This is marked by the sign "Arrivals".

How do I get out from the arrivals hall to the welcome area?

When you land at Billund Airport, you first pass the baggage carousels, then through customs control and then you come out into the welcome area.

We do not require documentation, but if the artificial hip or knee replacement set off our metal detectors, we will conduct a thorough examination, because according to the rules we must ensure that you do not have prohibited items on you.

It may be advantageous abroad to have documentation of operations that may give rise to questions at security.

Can I bring baby food that contains more than the normal permitted 100 ml?

Yes, you may bring food for your child in carry-on baggage. It is allowed to bring infant formula, porridge and purées (powdered or premixed). Note that the container with baby food can contain more than the normal permitted 100 ml.

You may also bring a thermos of water to make baby food with. However, hot water is available both in the airport and on the plane.

It is possible to hire so-called Airshells that take extra good care of your belongings in transit to the destination.

To hire these please visit www.airshells.com, which supplies the desired Airshells at the airport. You receive it by showing the rental contract to a service assistant in the check-in area.

For most departures baggage can be dropped off between 12 and 24 hours prior to departure.

If you drop off your baggage the day before, it must be not later than 1 hour before the final departure of the day.

If you have things you do not want to bring on your trip, you have the opportunity to store them at Baggage Service.

Baggage Service is located just opposite the car hire counters in the welcome area and it is open 08:00-24:00. It costs DKK 30 a day to store your belongings.

If you are a departing passenger, you can change money in the departure lounge at exchange*m.

Arrivals Service has an office next to the ATM machine opposite the car hire companies.

We do not have a manned information desk. However, there are information stands marked with a capital "I" in both the central hall and the arrivals hall.

If somebody else will collect your car keys, they can be placed in an envelope and given to Airport Parking in the multi storey car park. It is possible to contact Airport Parking around the clock.

Yes, medications including syringes/needles are exempt from the normal constraints. However, you must be able to substantiate the need and the medication’s authenticity.

If you need to bring a cooling element for medication that has to be kept cool, this is also allowed.

Billund Airport’s conference facility "Meetings" is on the right in the check-in area. Take the glass elevator on the right of the security checkpoint or walk up the stairs in the stair tower beside the Turkish Airlines office or the stairs in the stair tower by British Airways.

If you just need to drop passengers off, there is a drop off zone between the terminal and the multi story car park.

However, if you wish to park the car and go into the terminal to say goodbye or welcome, you can park for one hour free in area P3.

It is possible to see the runway and the platform from the balcony, which is located to the right of the security checkpoint in the check-in area.

No, Ryanair has no office at Billund airport or anywhere else in Denmark.

How do I get to the transfer area?

If you have arrived at Billund Airport and you must continue on with another aircraft, follow the arrivals corridor and ring on the door with the sign "Transfer". Then you will have access to the departure lounge.
