Billund in the first month of the year
In January Billund experienced a minor decrease in the number of passengers.
Domestic traffic went down by 25.1 %. The reason for this quite significant decrease is still the fact that in the same month the previous year there was a feeder connection between Aalborg and Billund. Cimber Air has experienced an increase in its traffic on the Billund-Copenhagen route.
Scheduled international went up a little compared to January 2006. There are major shifts in this segment compared to last year, where Sterling in January, February and March was still operating a large traffic programme on the routes to Amsterdam, Paris and London. First from April the development for the many new operators in Billund will work through.
Charter traffic showed a minor decrease in the first month of the year.
The amount of handled cargo in January was 4,421 tonnes, which is an increase of 7.3 %.
