Billund Airport traffic in May
The total number of passengers in May was 159,519 which is an increase of 3.5 % compared to May 2004.
Domestic went down by 3.6 %
Scheduled international went down by 0.4 %
Charter went up by 11.1 %

Scheduled international traffic is influenced by the adjustments that the airlines companies have made in their traffic programmes.
On May 23rd SUN-AIR/British Airways opened a new scheduled service between Prague and Billund. So far with two weekly departures. During the month even more charter flights have been announced. The peak season will be very busy with e.g. 33 departing charter flights each Saturday. On Saturday June 18 we expect a total of 36 charter flight departures including a number of flights to the Le Mans Race. This is a record number of charter flights in one day from Billund.
The amount of transported airfreight has gone up by 9.2 % in May 2005.
