Check-in from home via the internet

More and more airlines offer their passengers with electronic tickets (e-tickets) to do the check-in via the internet. You can do your check-in in advance - up to 30 hours before the flight - from home without any stress. Normally the check-in via the internet is closed four hours before the scheduled departure of the flight. You can read more about this on the homepages of the airlines.

For the time being internet check-in for flights from Billund is possible, if you are flying with Briitish Airways, KLM or Ryanair.

Clik:

Please note that some airlines have limitations at self-check-in, e.g. you cannot use internet check-in on Ryanair flights if you have baggage to be checked-in.

During the internet check.in you print your boarding-pass on your own printer. The boarding-pass has a bar code, that will be scanned, when you come to the security inspection point at the entrance to the departure hall.

This is to be sure, that a boarding-pass can only be used once.

In three of the - older - kiosks (which are marked) you can check-in to charterflights, if you are travelling with: Apollo, Star Tour, Tjæreborg, Spies or Ving.

There is a slight difference in how you do the check-in to different airlines. British Airways and KLM show on their websites how they have chosen to do it. It is quite simple, actually, click on the links below.

If you are checking-in to a travel with British Airways or KLM and carry baggage also to be checked-in, the kiosk will not print baggage tags. When you have completed your check-in, you must go to the counter marked British Airways or KLM, where you can hand in your baggage.

By following the instructions on the touch sensitive screen, you are guided through the check-in in an easy and straight forward way. The kiosk will print a boarding-pass for each passenger in the group and baggage tag, if your are travelling with an airline, that has opened the possibility for kiosk baggage tag print (see above).

The kiosks accept different kinds of tickets. Each type is read in its own manner, this is explained clearly on the screen. If your check-in to one of the charter operators on a charterflight you must enter the reservation number printet on your travel documents.

If you want to check-in baggage (not possible to all airlines) you enter the number of suitcases, you will be asked on the screen.

The kiosk will print a corresponding number of tags to be attached around the handle of the suitcase. On the baggage tag there is a receipt, remember to take it along!

Behind the kiosks you will find the Baggage Drop, where you will hand in the baggage after the tag has been wrapped around the handle of the suitcase. - Baggage to British Airways or KLM flights must be handed in at desks with designated marking of the airline in question.

When you have placed you baggage at the conveyor belt, please notify one of the servicepeople circulating in the check-in area, this person will also assist you if you need help at the kiosk.

At the the Baggage Drop show your pass and boarding pass.

Check-in via the kiosks will be closed at the same time the check-in at the desk is closed for  your flight! - It will typically be 30-40 minutes before departure, but varies from one airline to another. It is indicated in your travel documents, when check-in must be completed.

Check-in at a desk

The earliest time you can check-in at a desk is 24 hours before scheduled departure of your flight, and access to the departure area is possible a maximum of six hours before departure, provided it is open for other departures.

Remark, that Ryanair charges a fee (3 €/23 DKK) for check-in at a desk, Ryanair calls this fee: "ACI - Airport Check-In".
