Handling facilities

Yes, for all commercially used aircraft in passenger and cargo flight.

Handling will be carried out by Billund Airport Handling according to the liablility and other relevant conditions on the part of the airline as stated in the IATA Ground Handling Agreement.

Rescue and Fire Fighting Services
Aerodrome category for fire fighting CAT 7. However, service to CAT 8 or CAT 9 will be established according to the type of aircraft in question (one hour PN for not known traffic will apply).
Outside Aerodrome hours service reduced but adapted to the type of aircraft in question


Local Traffic Regulations
Approach / Departure Overflying Billund town should be avoided as far as possible.

Unless otherwise instructed areodrome traffic circuits shall be executed north of the runway at max. 1000 ft MSL.


Take-off fee
For each take-off a take-off fee has to be paid according to the table below, calculated on the basis of the maximum all-up weight, according to the Certificat of Airworthiness/Aircraft Manual.

All charges mentioned are exclusive of purchase tax.

Aircraft over 2,000 kg DKK 55.50 for every 1,000 kgs, or part of it
Parking fee
For parking an aircraft in open air, a parking fee calculated on the basis of the maximum all-up weight is levied for each commenced 24-hour-period. If parking does not exceed 6 hours, however, it is free of charge.

All charges mentioned are exclusive of purchase tax.
Aircraft up to 20,000 kg MTOM DKK 3.00 for every 1,000 kgs, or part of it
Minimum charge for aircraft up to 20,000 kgs MTOM DKK 18.00
Aircraft over 2,000 kg MTOM DKK 2.50 for every 1,000 kgs, or part of it
Minimum charge for aircraft up to 20,000 kgs MTOM DKK 60.00
